Zack is still trying to get back to himself after his bump in the road, but he seems to be improving a little almost every day.  We have been holding off on changing any medications, hoping he has something else going on, (a cold, teething, tummy bug, etc.), and he can get the seizures under control on his own.  I must say I was skeptical that we wouldn't have to tweak something, but he seems to be doing well enough to not need to at this point, so I am very thankful for that!

Despite those cheeks, his weight is still a big concern right now.  He has been in the 15-16 lb range since October, and has fallen back off of the growth charts again.  He had a huge growth spurt, gaining over a pound and a half and growing 3/4 of an inch in about 2 weeks time, but he lost all the newly gained weight during the recent Diuril mishap.  After a some resistance from the dietician, we were finally able to concentrate his formula a little more to get him some extra calories, and we will see how that goes.  Zack always seems to have a better day when he decides to be extra hungry and take a few more ounces of milk or even an extra bottle, so I am really hoping this change will help get him some extra energy too.

We had our IFSP meeting on the 13th, and we were able to get some pool therapy approved since we have a YMCA membership.  I have talked with the ladies that work there and as soon as we hear from the OT from First Steps, we can get started.  They are even going to allow them to come in without a membership and work with Zack in the pool, which I was concerned about.  I also found out that another Y near us has some open swim time for children and adults with disabilities, so I am interested in looking more into that.

Zack had his first music therapy session here at home, and I definitely think he liked it! He sat in his chair and kicked his legs and moved about almost the whole hour she was here. I was definitely impressed!!  Here's my attempt to not distract him sneak in a little video showing how much fun he had!!

I know I am a little behind, but here are a couple Valentine's Day photos too.  I have never been much of a V-Day fan, but apparently St. Valentine is the patron saint for those with Epilepsy, so I guess I need to start showing my respect :).
